History of Highland Realty Group

Highland Realty Group was born out of the collective experience and feedback from Clients, Customers and Realtors.  We learned that Clients and Realtors envision a Real Estate Company that is both client-centered in terms of providing the highest level of professional service and integrity; and agent-centered in providing the best place for Realtors to achieve their goals and dreams.

While on a vacation in Scotland, Dotty Boudreaux Hays, Broker/owner of Highland Realty Group, and her husband, Arthur, noticed the similarities of the terrain between the Scottish Highlands and the mountains in Western North Carolina, North Georgia and Eastern Tennessee.   In distinguishing our company from the many Real Estate companies, we wanted a name that reflected the beauty and inspiration of our mountains, lakes and streams, and the uniqueness of our high level of service.  We also wanted to include our Agents and Staff as integral participants in the company.  “Highland Realty Group” was born! 

Although it is important for us to be personal and local in nature, we became an affiliate of Avalar Network, Inc., a respected and fast growing National Organization.  Avalar Network can be found on the web at www.avalar.biz.  Our affiliation with Avalar provides many opportunities for resources, referrals, training and marketing.  At the same time, we have the autonomy of a local company deeply rooted in the culture and lifestyle that makes our area so spectacular!
