Dr. Richard Knee has had an eclectic career. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College and spent 6 years in Elementary Education as a music and science teacher. Richard entered the business world looking for greater challenges and economic opportunities. The next 25 years were spent in various areas of the financial service industry. He was a successful mortgage banker and mortgage back security trader for 10 years. Later he accepted an opportunity to enter the corporate arena and for the next 15 years served in senior executive positions in the Savings and Loan industry. Seeking change for his life Richard returned to graduate school and earned a masters, two Specialist degrees and a doctorate in Educational Leadership/Instructional Design and Technology. During that time he met his wife Joy and her seven children and left the business world. Dr. Knee & Joy have been married 14 years. In 1995 he entered academia and became a tenured associate professor and associate Dean in the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Knee retired to the mountains in 2004 and has been active in the Real Estate and land development business in Murphy North Carolina. He teaches Bible classes and directs the Men's Ministry at the House of Prayer in Blairsville Georgia. His slogan is 'God is Good - All the Time'.
